Investigating 18th Century Native America Sites with Greg Shipley

May 7 @ 6:00 pm - 6:45 pm

Prehistoric peoples once inhabited most of what is now Logan County, and indigenous tribal groups populated locations such as McKee’s Town, Moluntha’s Town, Wapatomica and others as late as 1786.
For over 30 years, Mr. Shipley, along with the Wayne’s Legion Research Group amateur archaeologist team, have been granted permission by property owners to conduct extensive research and excavations at various historical sites.
In his 45-minute presentation, Mr. Shipley will share fascinating information and cultural observations related to the materials and data collected during his three decades of site investigations, including excavation project images and a diverse array of recovered 18th century trade goods and artifacts.
Please join us in May as we investigate 18th century Native American sites in the Mad River region of Logan County, Ohio.
