His hobbies include riding dirt bikes and ATVs, hiking, scuba diving, kayaking and spending time with his seven grandchildren (all boys, 11 yrs old and younger).
Mark and Sara live on 100 acres on the north side of Bellefontaine, on which he has grown alfalfa hay and boarded horses.  Mark is active in the Environmental Quality Incentives Program (EQIP) and Conservation Stewardship Program (CSP) through the USDA Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS), where he is focused on removing invasive plants and on improving wildlife habitat.  He became aware of LCLT through its educational programs and began serving as a Director in November, 2024.  Mark is in the process of establishing a conservation easement on approximately 80 acres and has a strong commitment to maintaining wildlife habitat and in preserving the rural character of Logan County.
