Reorganization of Officers

Reorganization of Officers

The Logan County Land Trust (LCLT) met for its annual meeting on March 11, 2024. Each year at this meeting the slate of officers for the coming year are nominated and elected. This year there were two new board members elected to the slate of officers and two board members who remain as part of the officer team.

Long time board President, Bob Stoll, decided it was time for new leadership, and time for him to spend more time working as a board member on specific committees. Bob remains on the board of directors, working in the areas of youth education, easement monitoring, community relations, and seeking opportunities for additional lands to be placed in the conservation easement programs.

The day-to-day operations and administration of the LCLT will now be handled by incoming President, Renee Winner. Renee has moved up from her Vice President role to help lead the LCLT in ways to increase lands in the conservation easement program.

Current board member, Linda Vernon, is taking on a new role for her as she is now the Vice President for LCLT. Linda has the connections in the community and in the county to keep LCLT in the minds of property owners in Logan County. Linda is very good at keeping committees and working groups on task, to make LCLT a viable and sustainable organization.

Lindsey Smith has also stepped up to take on the role of Secretary. Lindsey is new to the slate of officers but has been active in many working committees with LCLT. She is very good at keeping track of the conversations that take place during the meetings, preparing well-organized minutes, and very prompt at getting reports back to the board members.

Greg Knight will remain as Treasurer of LCLT, as he has done this for several years now.

We encourage all who are supportive of conserving and preserving the natural landscape of Logan County to consider becoming a member of LCLT. You can join by completing the membership application.

Please feel free to contact any of these officers with your questions and thoughts. Our contact information is found here.
