Logan County Land Trust Holds Annual Meeting and Announces New Leadership for 2025

The Logan County Land Trust (LCLT) held its Annual Meeting on March 17, 2025, at the Solid Waste Building Conference Room, bringing together board members to review organizational updates and elect new officers for the coming year.

The meeting was called to order by Renee Winner, with the following directors in attendance: Renee Winner, Linda Vernon, Mark, Bruce, Greg, Bob, Catherine, Tom, and April. Directors Andrea and Lindsay were unable to attend.

One of the key actions of the evening was the election of officers. The board unanimously elected:

  • Linda Vernon – President
  • Renee Winner – Vice President

These leadership transitions mark an important step forward as the Land Trust continues its mission of protecting farmland, natural areas, and the rural character of Logan County.

The board also acknowledged that Marsha Roberts’ term has concluded, and she has chosen not to serve another term. LCLT extends sincere appreciation for her contributions and dedication during her time on the board.

To fill the vacancy, a Nominating Committee—consisting of Bruce Smith, Bob Stoll, and Renee Winner—will begin seeking candidates interested in serving as a director and helping further the Land Trust’s conservation work.

With no additional business, the meeting was adjourned by Linda Vernon.
